"You Caffeinate Me" Card

I made this card for TGF Friday Spyday #18 challenge. I though Cafe Ian needed a funny saying to go with his wink and made this up in Paint Shop Pro. I think it works well for a masculine Valentine's Day card - or just about any occasion really!

One Little Word 2012

Once again this year I am taking Ali Edwards' One Little Word class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. Last year, my word was "Achieve" and I followed through the entire year with her prompts. I was very proud of myself for completing the journey over the entire year.

This year, I have chose "Bright" as my word. I am still working through my reasons for using this word, but I just know that is what it has to be. I hope to share some of my monthly projects here as I complete them.

Hello 2012! I am looking forward to you being better and brighter than 2011.

December Daily 2011

I am following along with Ali Edwards' December Daily for the second time.   I really enjoyed it last year, and I have a better idea of what I want to document and what I want my album to look like this year.   In fact, I was so anxious to get started I had all my supplies gathered by October!

Here is the cover of my album:

I titled it "Home for the Holidays" since this is our first Christmas in our new home.   Below is a sewn pocket page - I love what AE does with these - and the basket I keep my supplies in during the month.

The paper collection and some of the embellishments and stamps are from Teresa Collins Christmas Home collection.  Love the simple designs and bold colors of this collection.

A Confession, of Sorts.

I have a confession.   An embarrassing, yet amusing, confession.

First, a little backstory.    I love to read.  Classics, non-fiction, fiction, technical manuals, medical journals, anything.   I have a very low tolerance for anything cheesy, shallow, or ridiculous.

...

Last week, I checked all four Twilight saga books out of the library.  I told myself I was tired of hearing references that I didn't understand.

I read them.   I ....liked.... them.   I want more.   I've had the story swirling around in my head since I finished.

I am having visions of a themed mini album.    I'm off to YouTube and Pintrest for ideas.

November Already?

Hmm, my October photo challenge did not go as well as expected.   I actually did take photos every day until about halfway through the month but go lazy about uploading them.

Maybe I will have more luck with my December Daily album!

Also, I'm thinking of trying the 365 photo project again in 2012.  The last time I did it in 2009 I made it through March.
